Greg Symons, FCSI

 Senior Financial Planner
 Greg Symons began his career as an investment advisor in 1979 and joined ScotiaMcLeod in 2004. He brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the investment services industry including many years as VP and Director of Fixed Income with a major US Investment Dealer. Greg has earned the designation Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.Greg is extremely active in the Mississauga community. He is a founding Board member of Shwachman Diamond Syndrome Canada, a member of Community Living Mississauga and helped establish The Referral Professionals chapter of BNI, a community business networking organization, which won Chapter of the Year for the Golden Horseshoe in 2004. Greg lives in Mississauga with his spouse Kathy and their two children, Michael and Gillian.
 
Greg specializes in working with clients to design and implement strategies for their financial future. This includes developing a consolidated, cohesive total financial solution, including financial planning, estate planning, borrowing and banking.

Oksana Romanova, B.A Econ

Investment Associate
 Oksana brought her financial service experience to ScotiaMcLeod in 2003. After graduating from York University, she worked in a client service department at a well–known mutual fund company. Oksana has successfully completed the Professional Financial Planning and Investment Management Techniques courses. Oksana’s passion is her family and close friends, and she spends a lot of her free time entertaining in her home with her husband Slavik.
 
Oksana is responsible for implementing investment strategies for our client’s portfolio, as well as providing on-going communication to clients, including performance reporting and market updates. She ensures that all of your individual requests are met and that your client experience is rewarding.

Steve McInnis

 Insurance Consultant
 Steve is an insurance veteran with over 18 years of experience in the industry. Having worked with Maritime Life, Assante and Canada Life, he brings tremendous professionalism, expertise and technical knowledge in the area of the insurance as our in-house Insurance Consultant. Steve enjoys photography and cooking in his free time. He has participated in many speaking engagements over the years to groups such as ADVOCIS, the Canadian Institute of Underwriters, the Life Insurance Institute of Canada and countless producer groups.
 

 

Amanda Faber-Gidge, PFP

 Financial Planning Consultant
Amanda has worked in the financial services industry and has provided specialized financial services to Scotiabank clients for over 11 years. Previous positions held with the Scotiabank Group include District Banking Manager, Branch Manager, Assistant Manager Personal Banking and Financial Advisor. Amanda is a graduate of Seneca College and holds the Personal Financial Planner designation. She remains active in her community as a Junior Achievement volunteer for the past six years and was also a past Chair of the Richmond Hill/Markham United Way and Co-Chair of Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Amanda, her husband Morgan and their son Cody keep active with a variety of sports and leisure activities.
 
 

Nancy Melo, MBA, PFP

Estate Planning Consultant
As a Financial Consultant, Nancy works with you to review your financial goals and to develop a customized plan to meet all of your financial needs. Nancy has worked in the financial services industry since 1987 and has been servicing Scotiabank clients since 1997. Nancy draws on a team of experts from across the Scotiabank Group with experience in estate and trust planning and administration, private banking and investment management services.
